The City of Coopersville is a rural-suburban community located midway between the Grand Rapids and Muskegon metropolitan centers. On January 1, 1967, Coopersville became an incorporated city with an area of five square miles. Today, approximately 50% of that area is developed; the remainder is zoned Agricultural.
Coopersville has grown at a moderate rate over the years and projections indicate a continued increase of 1.5% to 2% annually in the next decade.
